Planting Instructions for Sprouting Clover Seeds (All Types)
- Supplies Needed: Wide-mouth quart jar, sprouting lid or mesh screen, and fresh water.
- Measure Seeds: Use 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of clover seeds per jar.
- Soak: Place Todd’s Seeds Clover seeds in the jar and cover with water. Soak for 6–8 hours or overnight.
- Drain & Rinse: Drain the soaking water, rinse seeds with cool water, and drain again thoroughly. Store the jar tilted upside down at an angle to allow airflow and excess water to drain.
- Rinse Schedule: Rinse and drain seeds 2–3 times daily with cool water to prevent mold and ensure even sprouting.
- Location: Keep the jar in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Room temperature (65–75°F) is ideal.
- Harvest: Sprouts are ready in 5–6 days when they are about 1–2 inches long and have small green leaves.
- Final Rinse: Give a final rinse and drain well. Remove unsprouted seeds and seed hulls if desired.
- Storage: Store finished sprouts in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Best used within 5–7 days.
