Sprouting is a process where you soak the beans in water for a while, then drain and rinse them multiple times a day. What you’ll need:

-Water

-A container for sprouting (a mason jar or an airtight container will work)

-Cheesecloth or a mesh strainer

-A rubber band or clip to secure the cheesecloth/mesh strainer to the top of the container

Step One: Place the mung beans in a container and cover them with water. Soak the beans for 12-24 hours.

Step Two: After soaking, drain and rinse the beans several times a day. Be sure to shake off all of the excess water.

Step Three: In about two days, you will begin to see sprouts emerge from the beans. Once they have sprouted, you can eat them immediately or store them in the fridge for later use.
