Planting Instructions for Sprouting Red Clover Seeds

  1. Supplies Needed: Quart-size wide-mouth jar, sprouting lid or mesh screen, and fresh water.
  2. Measure Seeds: Use 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of red clover seeds per jar.
  3. Soak: Place Todd’s Seeds Sprouting Red Clove seeds in the jar and cover with water. Soak for 6–8 hours or overnight.
  4. Drain & Rinse: Drain the water, rinse with cool fresh water, and drain again thoroughly. Tilt the jar upside down at an angle to allow airflow and excess water to escape.
  5. Rinse Schedule: Rinse and drain 2–3 times per day with cool water to keep seeds moist and prevent spoilage.
  6. Location: Store the jar in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. The ideal temperature is 65–75°F.
  7. Harvest: Sprouts are ready in 5–6 days when they reach 1–2 inches in length and develop small green leaves.
  8. Final Rinse: Do a final rinse, remove unsprouted seeds and seed hulls, and drain thoroughly.
  9. Storage: Store finished sprouts in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Use within 5–7 days for best freshness.
