Planting Instructions for Bachelor Button Seeds

  1. Location: Select a site with full sun and well-drained soil.
  2. When to Plant: Sow Todd’s Seeds Bachelor Button seeds directly outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. In warmer zones, fall planting is also an option.
  3. Soil Prep: Rake soil smooth and remove weeds. No fertilizer needed unless soil is very poor.
  4. Sowing Depth: Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep.
  5. Spacing: Space seeds about 1 inch apart. Thin seedlings to 6–12 inches apart when they are 2–3 inches tall.
  6. Watering: Water gently after planting. Keep soil lightly moist until germination (7–14 days), then water only during dry spells.
  7. Care: Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming. Minimal maintenance required once established.
  8. Bloom Time: Blooms begin in late spring and continue into summer. Plants may reseed naturally.
