Planting Instructions for Bok Choy Seeds
- Location: Choose a site with full sun to partial shade and well-drained, fertile soil.
- When to Plant: Sow Todd’s Seeds Bok Choy Seeds outdoors in early spring or late summer. Bok choy grows best in cooler temperatures (55–75°F).
- Soil Prep: Loosen soil and enrich with compost. Maintain soil pH between 6.0 and 7.5.
- Sowing Depth: Plant seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
- Spacing: Space seeds 1 inch apart. Thin seedlings to 6–8 inches apart for baby bok choy or 10–12 inches for full-size heads.
- Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water at the base of the plant to prevent disease.
- Care: Apply mulch to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. Protect from pests like flea beetles with row covers if needed.
- Harvest: Harvest baby bok choy in 30 days or full-size heads in 45–60 days. Cut at the base with a sharp knife.
