Planting Instructions for Celosia Seeds

  1. Location: Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil.
  2. When to Plant: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost, or sow outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and the soil is warm.
  3. Soil Prep: Loosen soil and amend with compost if needed. Ideal pH is 6.0–7.0.
  4. Sowing Depth: Sow Todd’s Seeds Celosia seeds on the surface and press lightly into the soil. Do not cover, as celosia seeds need light to germinate.
  5. Spacing: Thin or transplant seedlings to 8–12 inches apart, depending on variety.
  6. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist during germination (7–14 days). Once established, water moderately and avoid overwatering.
  7. Care: Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.
  8. Bloom Time: Mid-summer to fall. Celosia thrives in heat and humidity and adds vibrant color to gardens and containers.
