Sprouting Instructions for Radish Seeds
- Supplies Needed: Wide-mouth jar, sprouting lid or mesh screen, and fresh water.
- Measure Seeds: Use 1–2 tablespoons of radish seeds per quart jar.
- Soak: Add Todd’s Seeds Radish Seeds to the jar and cover with water. Soak for 6–8 hours or overnight.
- Drain & Rinse: Drain soak water, rinse with cool water, and drain again thoroughly. Place the jar at an angle to allow water to drain and air to circulate.
- Rinse Schedule: Rinse and drain 2–3 times daily to keep seeds moist and clean.
- Location: Store jar in a cool, dark place during sprouting (65–75°F). Move to indirect sunlight for the last day to green the sprouts if desired.
- Harvest: Sprouts are ready in 3–5 days when they reach 1–2 inches in length. Taste is spicy and crisp.
- Final Rinse & Storage: Rinse thoroughly, remove unsprouted seeds and hulls, and drain well. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
