Sprouting Instructions for Red Clover Seeds
- Supplies Needed: Quart-size wide-mouth jar, mesh sprouting lid or cheesecloth, and fresh water.
- Measure Seeds: Use 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of Todd’s Seeds Red Clover Seeds per jar.
- Soak: Add seeds to the jar and cover with water. Soak for 6–8 hours or overnight.
- Drain & Rinse: Drain soak water, rinse thoroughly with fresh, cool water, and drain again. Place the jar upside down at an angle to allow drainage and airflow.
- Rinse Schedule: Rinse and drain 2–3 times daily.
- Location: Store the jar in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. The ideal temperature is 65–75°F.
- Harvest: Sprouts are ready in 5–6 days when they are 1–2 inches long and have small green leaves.
- Final Rinse & Storage: Give a final rinse, remove any seed hulls, and drain well. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator and use within 5–7 days.
