Important Information About International Seed Orders
Before placing an international order, please review the details on this page.
All prices listed on our website are in USD (U.S. Dollars).
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Shipping seeds across borders is not always simple. Seeds are a controlled item in many countries, and each nation has its own import regulations. It’s your responsibility to confirm whether the seeds you’re ordering are allowed in your country. We strongly recommend contacting your country’s Department or Ministry of Agriculture for guidance.
Any duties, import fees, or local taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
Some smaller international orders ship out quickly, but those requiring special documentation or inspection may be delayed by a week or longer.
If you have any questions about shipping internationally, feel free to reach out to us during regular business hours at [email protected].
Returns and Refunds for International Orders
While our satisfaction guarantee applies to all orders, international returns work a little differently:
- We do not cover return shipping for international orders.
- Seeds returned in original, good condition can be refunded.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
Shipping Methods
We typically use Global Priority Mail or FedEx International for overseas shipments, but we may choose the best carrier based on your location. All international shipping costs are charged at checkout.
Please note: We do not offer an international dealer program.
Documentation You May Need
Some countries require official documentation with seed shipments. Below are the most common documents:
Phytosanitary Certificate
This document, issued by the USDA, verifies that the seeds meet the agricultural import standards of the destination country. If your country requires this certificate, you must request it at the time of ordering. We cannot issue one after your order has shipped. There is a fee for this document.
In some cases, a country may also require an import permit before the USDA will issue the certificate. If the import permit includes requirements we cannot meet, we may not be able to fulfill your order.
Certificate of Origin
Certain countries may also request a Certificate of Origin, which shows where the seeds were produced. This is issued by the Chamber of Commerce and may take a few weeks to acquire. Additional fees apply.
Shipping Without Documentation (Customer Risk)
If you choose to place an order without requesting the necessary documents, we can still ship it—but at your own risk. We are not responsible for packages that are delayed, seized, or lost due to customs issues.
Country-Specific Regulations
Regulations vary widely between countries; some require a phytosanitary certificate, an import permit, or both. Below is a list of countries and the known requirements for each. If your country is not listed, we suggest contacting us directly before placing an order.
